Visiting The World
Hello my name is Alex. I am from Ft Defiance, Arizona. I was born on the Navajo Indian Reservation, and I am helping raise funds to buy instruments to give to the Navajo children.
I am a Sophmore at the St Michael Indain School, which is a catholic school, located in the middle of the Navajo Reservation. My mom and dad are Nurses, and have lived here for 18 years. They are originally from Kentucky. I am 16, and my sister is 12. I am involved with sports and music, and I love to travel.
I would like to raise funds to buy instruments for the children in our community. Many are very poor and do not have running water or electricity. It breaks my heart to see these children with no funds and living with limited resources. There are many that would love to participate in music, but do not have an instrument at home.
I feel it is so important to bring music back onto the Reservation and into the hearts of the children. Wouldn't it be nice to hear music?
Please support me by donating a few dollars, to help buy a few instruments. One instrument at a time, we can make a difference in the lives of these children.
